Off - Grid Energy Systems

Introduction to off grid solar systems . Students will lean the basics for calculating and connecting complete small scale power systems with hands on instruction and connecting of Solar Cells, inverters, controllers, and batteries. This workshop is intended for the beginner to be able to install his own system.

Including four hours basic electricity, load analysis, and components of various systems. Hands-on session and tour of working solar system on site. Demonstration and instruction of passive and active solar hot water systems, working out-door solar hot water showers and domestic hot water heating systems.

Balance of the day will include guided tour of working 400 acre self-sufficient ranch and for recreational purposes. Evening campfire with music, stories and discussions for those who are camping overnight and or wish to stay on for evening fellowship and entertainment.
